Immune Tea - a Recipe to Fight Cold and Flu
An Immune Tea can really help to give you that boost when you're feeling under the weather. When you're in need of something natural, this immune boosting tea recipe can help to help soothe your symptoms.
This tea recipe is our adage to the the original hot lemon and honey tea that our parents and grandparents used to make for us whenever we had a cold or flu. Only now, we have updated it to pack more of a punch with the added benefits of Olive Leaf Extract.
Immune Tea Health Benefits
Lemon: Selected for its ability to aid with digestion, helping all the other ingredients to get where they need to!
Honey: It has been recognised around the world for its healing abilities. Just make sure you use a quality raw honey as they contain medicinal properties unlike table honey.
Ginger: According to the National Journal of Preventative medicine, they discuss how ginger in tea has been used historically as an antioxidant. More specifically though, they mention how ancient cultures used ginger to boost the immune system.
Turmeric: It is anti-inflammatory and antiviral. This adds synergistically to the ginger providing a wonderful decongesting benefit.
Olive Leaf Extract: Anti-Inflammatory, Anti-Viral and Anti-Bacterial make this your secret weapon against whatever nasty bugs are hiding in your system.
Ingredients:
- 1cm Slice of Organic Ginger (chopped or grated)
- 1cm Slice of Organic Turmeric (chopped or grated)
- 1/2 Lemon or 1 whole small lemon if organic then add some zest
- 1 teaspoon of Raw Australian Honey
- 15mls Fresh Picked Olive Leaf Extract Natural
- 500ml Boiling Water
Time needed: 5 minutes.
How to make an Immune Boosting Tea

Initially
Place Ginger and Turmeric in mug and pour boiling water.

Be Patient
Let sit for 1-2 minutes. Why? Because the heat of the water can affect the medicinal properties of the Lemon, Honey and Olive Leaf Extract.

Time to add, Lemon, Honey and Olive Leaf Extract.
